From August 2024 to August 2025, I worked as an interior designer and sales representative at Crate and Barrel's Oakridge Vancouver location. My job was to design and render residential and commercial floor plans using the company's inventory. I also conducted in-home, in-store, and virtual consultations. I achieved $1.5 million in sales revenue in my year tenure, including probation, ranking 13th company-wide for sales. I resolved numerous customer service issues with a solutions-first approach and proactively networked with designers across B.C. to build strategic professional relationships.

Working at Crate and Barrel came with tribulations. During my tenure, our specific location stayed in operation despite political tensions, and the biggest retail reconstruction in the country (https://www.oakridgepark.com/en-us). However, this experience taught me to be ruthlessly resilient and unyielding in kindness in a retail environment. I also learned about the Greater Vancouver design community, which will be crucial as I strive to establish myself more in it.
